Day 1
Arrive in London to check in to your hotel and pick up your Welcome Pack containing all your tickets and travel vouchers. Then join your hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour on board famous red London double-decker buses followed by a Thames river cruise and a guided walking tour. Return to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 2
Take a fast train journey (90 mins) into the west of England to European Heritage city of Bath, a city dating back to Roman times and now a fine city full of 18th Century classic architecture, boutiques, and antique and craft shops. Enjoy a hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour of the city and perhaps spend time viewing the famous Roman Baths, Pump Room, Royal Crescent and 18th-century Assembly Rooms, which were featured in Jane Austen’s novel, Persuasion. Return to your Bath hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 3
Make an early start for a full day sightseeing tour of many of England’s historic sites, including the magical Stonehenge and the Avebury stone circles, two of the most impressive megalithic monuments in Europe; Lacock National Trust Village, an idyllic village frozen in the 18th century (used in the filming of Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter), where you can enjoy a bite to eat in a wonderful country pub dating back to 1362; and the Cotswold village of Castle Combe, a tranquil village of weavers’ cottages nestling in a wooded valley, also used as a film location by Steven Spielberg. Return to your Bath hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 4
Check out of your hotel and take the train to Torquay (2.5 hours). Settle in to your hotel before boarding another train for the short journey to Exeter, where you can join a guided walk around the city. Afterwards, take the train and return to your Torquay hotel for the night.
Day 5
Explore a stunning stretch of coastline and countryside during today’s full-day excursion. Enjoy a heritage steam railway journey along the spectacular English Riviera Geopark coastline; witness breathtaking scenery and superb wildlife, including dolphins, seals, buzzards and herons. A short foot passenger ferry will then take you across the River Dart to the historic town of Dartmouth, followed by a river cruise to the craft town of Totnes. Your excursion will end with a short coach trip back to Paignton and return to your Torquay hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 6
Check out of your hotel and take the train (3 hours) to Redruth. Settle in to your hotel before boarding another train (1 hour) to Falmouth. Falmouth’s stunning beaches have something for everyone: the best rock pools can be found at Castle Beach. Falmouth also has numerous exquisite gardens, tucked away from the busy town centre. Return to your hotel in Redruth for your overnight stay.
Day 7
Enjoy a self-guided, unescorted day’s excursion to the Isles of Scilly by train and helicopter with a ferry cruise option. Your 20 minute helicopter ride provides spectacular views on the short journey to the island paradise of St Mary’s, the largest Scilly isle. After your day of leisure, you return by helicopter, or you may prefer to board the more leisurely passenger ferry back to the mainland. Return to Redruth and your hotel for the night.
Day 8
Check out of your hotel and take the train (5 Hours) back to London. Return home.
