Day 1
Drive westwards towards the University City of Oxford to views the famous Oxford Colleges. A city sightseeing open-top tour bus is the recommended way to see the best of the Oxford without the worry of city centre driving - and parking!. Continue your day with a visit to magnificent Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. Overnight in 4* New Hall Hotel, near Birmingham (or similar).
Day 2
Today's first visit is to Charlecote Park, a superb Tudor house. Afterwards, make your way to to Stratford-upon-Avon to visit the Shakespeare Birthplace and Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Explore this pretty riverside town before heading back for your overnight stay at the New Hall hotel (or similar).
Day 3
Start the day with a visit to the magnificient mansion of Ragley Hall and then take a tour of the north Cotswolds to see chocolate-box villages, such as Broadway and Chipping Campden. Take time to view the wonderful gardens at both Snowshill and Hidcote manors before returning for your overnight stay at New Hall hotel (or similar).
Day 4
Today’s highlight is the heritage city of Bath. Visit the historic Bath Abbey, the Bath Assembly Rooms and the Fashion Museum which is housed in the impressive Georgian Assembly Rooms. Leaving Bath behind, head south-west to Taunton for your first overnight stay at the 4* Castle at Taunton (or similar).
Day 5
Start your day with a visit to Dunster Castle and a coast drive into the Exmoor National Park, where wild ponies roam free. The next highlight is the fine gardens and impressive house of Knightshayes Court, before you return for the night to the Castle at Taunton (or similar).
Day 6
Travel west into Dartmoor National Park to visit imposing Castle Drogo. Afterwards, take a leisurely drive through the dramatic scenery to Powderham Castle, which is located in a unique, picturesque setting just outside Exeter and beside the River Exe estuary. Return to Taunton's 4* Castle at Taunton (or similar).
Day 7
Travel back in time to visit the prehistoric World Heritage site of Stonehenge. Make the most of the remaining time by enjoying a look around Salisbury Cathedral before returning to London.
