Dromoland Castle, one of the most famous baronial castles in Ireland, was the ancestral home of the O'Briens, Barons of Inchiquin, who are one of the few native Gaelic families of royal blood and direct descendants of Brian Boroimhe (Boru), High King of Ireland in the 11th century.
For the active, Dromoland Castle’s championship golf course holds pride of place in one of Europe’s finest country estates. The castle grounds are perfect for exploring on foot or horseback, and fishing is available on Dromoland Lake. Falconry, clay shooting, archery and tennis are also among the many activities in which guests can indulge.
For those wishing to relax or revitalise, the castle’s leisure centre offers a 17-metre pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, while its brand-new luxury health spa provides the perfect pampering place.
The castle’s 99 bedrooms include a choice of accommodation, such as charming Queen Anne guestrooms, executive deluxe rooms, staterooms and suites. Nestled into the original castle walls, each room is unique in design and dimension.
